What are you looking at?

Recent research has found that 50% of all Generation Y drivers in Australia, are driving while being distracted by their own appearance. The numbers show that the younger you are, the more focused you are on your looks.

The largest group was 48% of 16 to 20 years old, who admitted to checking how they look, while they are driving. For drivers over 40 years old, this number dropped to 19%. Females, of any age came in at 33%, admitting to worrying about how they look, compared to men of any age at 19%.

While one in eight female drivers between the ages of 30 to 39, admitted that they will put on makeup while driving, only a small number of men will shave while in the car.
