Wind is air movement. Wind and windstorm is one of the Specified Perils. So damage caused by wind will be covered under your automobile insurance. This includes Acts of God, such as tornados, hurricanes and typhoons.

Wind damage is one of the Named Perils under your Fire and EC form for home insurance. This is the form just above the basic coverage.

If you think you have a claim then it is best to notify your insurance company. If your policy is not triggered then you will be told that the damage is not covered by insurance. You will often have the damage inspected by an appraiser and they will often give you some free advice as to how to proceed with repair.
