Smoking teens like small flavored cigars

Teenage smokers really like the small cigars known as cigarillos. In an effort to try to stop young people from smoking there has been an amendment to the Tobacco Act. Flavored cigarettes and cigarillos are illegal.

The tobacco manufacturers are now producing flavored cigars. Health Canada did not include cigars in the amendment as these are perceived to be more of an adult choice.

If Health Canada sees that the flavored cigars are becoming more popular with the young smokers then the Tobacco Act could again be revised.

You cannot regulate the sale of individual cigarettes once the package has been purchased. So now the "pusher" is selling smokes at a buck a piece in the schoolyard!
