SEF

What is an SEF? The insurance answer is that it is an acronoym Standard Endorsement Form.

These are additions or endorsements to the automobile policy. The change can add, delete or limit coverage. Examples would include limiting coverage for hail, glass or equipment or machinery mounted on your vehicle.

You will see these noted on your policy declaration as an SEF#. Each SEF has a specific purpose.

Turner's Tips is giving you some general information about these forms. These definitions are not complete but give you an overview of the intention of the endorsement.

You should consult with your broker or agent to discuss your specific policy. It is not a pleasant surprise to find out you have limited or no coverage when you thought you would receive full compensation in a claim.
