Section A
This is the first part of automobile insurance policy which insures the third party liability - public liability and property damage (PLPD).
In most provinces, the person who did not cause the collision has the right to sue the at-fault driver for additional costs and damages not covered by Section B - Accident Benefits.
Section A covers you for the legal costs of being sued if you are the at-fault driver.
Each province has minimum coverages that you must purchase if you wish to operate a vehicle in that jurisdiction.
