Sask. graduated bike license

It was recently announced that Saskatchewan will adopt graduated motorcycle licensing in 2011. In 2008 there were 221 accidents and five deaths because of motorcycle crashes.

At this time, you can ride a motorcycle without a special license in Saskatchewan. You can get your learner's permit with a written test, and then have almost full privileges for riding your bike. After a minimum of three years, you could have the full motorcycle license.

Under the new program, you will have similar restrictions as the graduated licensing program for passenger vehicles. You will not be able to drive at night, you cannot carry passengers, and there will be a zero-alcohol policy.
