PFPC

The Public Fire Protection Classification (PFPC) and Dwelling Protection Grades (DPG) are what the insurance companies use to help establish their risk exposures and premium calculations for property fire insurance.

The PFPC is a fire insurance classification grading index used for commercial property risks. The PFPC is shown as a numerical system scaled from one to ten with one (1) being the very best grading possible and ten (10) which indicates little or no public fire protection.

Fire Protection Specialists complete an analysis of the fire protection provided by a community and grade accordingly.
