Non Confining Sickness

Non confining sickness under health insurance refers to a sickness that disables an insured person but does not confine the person to hospital or home.

How does this affect me?
So you might not be able to do your regular job yet you are not immobilized. If you are seeking to put in a claim for disability then you will go through a process of examination. Your condition will be monitored to some degree and when you are able to return to your regular job then the benefit would be discontinued.

Insurance answer
It is important that you confirm that your disability insurance refers just to your inability to do your own occupation. If it references that you must be unable to work at all occupations it can be much more difficult to collect benefits for loss of working ability. Be sure that your adviser explains what you have in clear language and do not be afraid to ask questions!
