Nintendo defends in lawsuit

There has been another lawsuit launched against Nintendo.

This suit was brought by Guardian Media Technologies, Ltd. Guardian alleged that the Wii™ console infringed on one of its patents (U.S. Patent No. 4,930,158).

The case was considered by Judge Manuel Real. Judge Real, U.S. District Court in Los Angeles entered an order granting Nintendo’s motion for summary judgment of non-infringement on June 8, 2009. This decision took less the six months from filing date.

The decision was based on Nintendo convincing the Court that Guardian’s patent had nothing to do with Nintendo’s products.
