MSRP

Manufacturer's suggested retail price - is sometimes asked for in regards to automobile insurance.

With the current economic conditions some people have financial responsibilities exceeding the current value of the vehicle they have purchased through a creditor. If there is a claim then the vehicle will be paid out at a current depreciated value unless you have the waiver of depreciation (SEF43R) coverage. This can leave you owing money on a vehicle that has been written off and you no longer own.

If you find yourself in this position after a claim then you may be able to get the prior outstanding debt for your damaged vehicle written in to the new contract for the replacement vehicle. It is worth suggesting to the dealership.
