Minimum Group

In health insurance policies your options can be limited. This is because often the insurance companies set a minimum for the least number of employees permitted to form a group for insurance purposes. This has been done to create some sort of proper division between individual policy insurance and the group forms.

If your company is only one or two people then you will not have as many options for a group plan. You will need to research what is available for you.

Sometimes organizations will form together to create a group of "like occupations". The members of this group would not all work for the same company but all do similar type of work.

Talk to your human resources person about what might be available for you. If your company is very small then you could seek advice from your broker or agent.
