Liability Without Fault
This is the principle on which Workers Compensation (WCB) is based. The employer is absolutely liable for occupational injuries or disease suffered by workers. Fault is not an issue.
If a worker is not covered by WCB then the employer's contingent liability will respond to the policy as long as it is scheduled on the policy declaration.
