How do you pay for your insurance?

How do you want to pay for your insurance? There are many different methods provided by insurance companies.

If you are paying to directly to the insurance company then you are limited to what that company offers. If you really need something different then it might be time for you to check out another company.

Some of the choices that insurance companies will give include:

  • Credit card - Visa, MasterCard and sometimes American Express
  • Monthly payments - Some want two months down immediately, some bill you for the two months and some start with the first monthly payment without an extra down payment.
  • Credit card monthly payments - This is a combination of using your credit card on a regular monthly payment.
  • Full payment only.
  • 50% down and 50% within 30 days, 60 days or 90 days.
  • 40% down and two payments of 30% from 30 days apart to 90 days apart.
  • Online payments.

Most of these payment plans include a service charge. Check with your broker or agent as to which form suits you best.
