Hells Angels sue over trademark

Hells Angels are not happy with the retail chain Saks Inc. and the fashion design house Alexander McQueen.

Jewelry, clothing and handbags are being sold using the Hell's Angels death-head design. The Hells Angels Motorcycle Corp. has alleged that Saks, which is McQueen's company and retailer Zappos.com Inc. are selling infringing products. The sales are happening online and in stores in California.

The complaint was filed on October 26, 2010 at the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The Hells Angels Jacquard Box Dress and Hells Angels Pashmina also have the trademark.

Every trademark is to be protected, it doesn't matter who the owner is so the notoriety of the Hell's Angels should not have any influence on this claim.
