Group Plan

A group benefit plan is provided by the employer for the employees. This is for health related expenses such as dental, prescription, chiropractic and other benefits not normally covered, by the provincial health insurance. Usually a group plan is much less expensive, then purchasing this type of coverage on your own.

This is part of Life, Accident & Sickness insurance. This is not for your home or your automobile. Sometimes this type of coverage will be available, once you have left the company - an example being that after leaving your company, you could extend the group plan for one year.

Ask your agent or broker for details, as to what they can offer to you in this area.
