General Motors recalls vehicles for possible engine fie

Potential engine fires is why General Motors is recalling 1.5 million vehicles.

At this point there is no reports of fire or injuries according to General Motors.

The recall includes some vehicles which are no longer in production. These include the 1998 to 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, 1997 to 2003 Buick Regal, 1997 to 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix and the 1998 to 2003 Chevrolet Impala, Lumina, and Monte Carlo.

This recall involves vehicles with a 3.8-litre V 6 engine. The concern is that the government says drops of oil could fall into the exhaust system and cause a fire in the engine.

This is said to be a precautionary measure.
