Ethics in insurance?

Insurance brokers to get ethics training

Well done! The Insurance Council of Saskatchewan is making ethics training mandatory for all insurance brokers. It will be part of the licensing process.

Effective January 1, 2010, Saskatchewan licensees must complete at least three hours of approved ethics training.

The Insurance Council said that licensees must also complete an ethics course within subsequent five-year cycles. Any credit hours earned for an ethics course can be applied towards any continuing education requirements.

We at Turner's Tips applaud this decision. Ethics is an important part of any insurance broker's or agent's job. Trustworthiness is an important part of the foundation of personal integrity and professional competence.
