Drunk driver gets life

Drunk driver convicted for 19th time!

It is hard to believe but a Quebec driver, Roger Walsh has been convicted of drunk driving for the 19th time.

The court could have labeled him a dangerous offender but did not. Instead he was given a life sentence. The judge called the man incorrigible and declared that he was likely to drive drunk again.

Walsh pled guilty to drinking and driving. His latest incident resulted in hitting a woman in a wheelchair after drinking and then driving.

Canada does have a dangerous offender charge that can be used in specific cases. This case and two others were denied the designation against Walsh.
