Cigarette butts are everywhere

Cigarette butts are littering up the streets

How many times have you walked past a bar or restaurant to see butts everywhere? They are on the sidewalks, up against the building, on the road and a few have been put in the free-standing ashtrays.

Consider the environmental hazard. Worldwide there are said to be over 4.5 trillion cigarette butts a year going to our waterways and into the landscape.

What's a smoker to do? They can't smoke indoors at public places. If they want to have a quick smoke then it has to be outside.

Just as a drinker has to drink responsibly then so does a smoker have to responsibly dispose of their butts. Find a receptacle and butt out there. Municipalities and cities need to do their part by providing enough public receptacles to make this an easy fix.
