Changes to Ontario auto

The FSCO has implement the changes to auto insurance in Ontario. It is up to you, the consumer, to choose the level of coverage you want to have.

Review the options that are available to you here, at the FSCO website. Talk to your agent or broker about the differences in coverage.

One example would be the option of $200,000 liability. This is a very minimal coverage and while some brokers would recommend at least $1 million, most would recommend at least $2 million public liability and property damage coverage.

Be very careful about buying cheap insurance - remember, you get what you pay for.
