Car accident settles for $2.5 million for each of the victim's families!

A North Carolina driver's car accident killed two people on bicycles in South Carolina. The settlement is $2.5 million for the family of Tom Hoskins. Hoskins and Lee Anne Barry were struck and killed in 2007. At that time Barry was on a cross-country ride to raise awareness for brain injuries. Hoskins had joined the ride at the last section.

Sharon King of Greensboro, North Carolina, was charged with reckless homicide and she did plea guilty to reckless driving. King was on a cell phone at the time of the crash.

In December a judge approved the $2.5 million settlement in state civil court for Barry's death.
