Cadillac has recall for air bags: knee bolster

September 13, 2010 General Motors Corp. has had to recall certain model 2009-2010 Cadillac CTS all wheel drive and CTS-V vehicles. They fail to comply with the federal requirements for safety standards in the area of occupant crash protection.

The affected models are:

  • CADILLAC/CTS 2009-2010
  • CADILLAC/CTS-V 2009-2010


There are potentially 20,224 vehicles that are affected.

What is the danger?

The hazard is that in the event of a car crash the front passenger could be at an increased risk of leg injury.

What do I do?

Cadillac dealers are replacing the glove compartment assembly, and if necessary, will modify the instrument panel structure. Of course, this service is being done free of charge.
