Axe Unlimited deodorant body spray recall

Health Canada has recalled "Axe Unlimited" Deodorant Body Spray, which comes in a black 105mL aerosol container. The recalled product can be identified by UPC 4800888116567.

What is wrong?

The problem is that the recalled product does not have the mandatory labelling as required under Canadian law. To this date Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.

What do I do with my Axe?

Health Canada advises that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and dispose of it as per Municipal Hazardous Waste Guidelines. Consumers may contact their municipality for instructions on how to dispose of aerosol containers.

How many have been sold?

The report is that the number of recalled product sold is not known; however, the product is known to have been sold at ROSSY stores across Quebec and possibly in New Brunswick. These products were sold from 2008 to July 2010 and distributed by Michael Rossy Ltd. of St-Laurent, Quebec.
