Automobile Insurance

Automobile insurance is a mandatory coverage that you buy because you own, use or operate an automobile.

If you injury someone or their property as a result of this ownership, use or operation of the automobile then you would have an insurance claim under your Public Liability and Property Damage (PLPD).

Insurance coverage for your immediate medical needs such as ambulance, prescriptions and physiotherapy resulting from a car crash would come under your Accident Benefit section of your policy.

Repair or replacement of your damaged or lost vehicle comes under the All Perils, Collision, Comprehensive or Specified Perils of your insurance. You choose the level of coverage that you want.

Additional coverages under the Standard Endorsement Forms (SEF) can include anything from the Family Protection Endorsement (SEF 44) to loss of use coverage (SEF 20).

Take control of your insurance. Ask questions and know the options available to you. Use your agent or broker as a partner in achieving the auto insurance policy that is best for your needs.
