Authorization

This is the power or right to act on behalf of another. With today's concerns with privacy it is wise to have a consent form signed if you wish to give someone the right to act on your behalf.

An example of authorization would be when you give consent for a person to register your vehicle. Most often a consent form is required to be on record before you can discuss another person's insurance, a claim or make any type of change.

It is important that you notify your agent or broker if you wish to remove the consent for release of information.
