Xindak audio equipment safety recall

On June 2, 2011 Health Canada has recalled "Xindak" Audio Equipment.

This recall involves "Xindak" silver-colored audio equipment distributed by Worldwide Wholesales. The audios can be identified by the following item numbers:

  • XA6950
  • XA6800
  • XA8800MNe
  • XA8800MNu
  • C09
  • XF1000
  • LP-1


What is the danger?

The affected products are not certified to Canadian standards and have not been evaluated for safety hazards. They may pose a safety hazard to consumers.

At time of the recall neither Health Canada nor the Worldwide Wholesales has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.

What should I do?

You should immediately unplug the unit and return it to Public Safety Connection International for a free inspection and repair.

How many were sold and where?

Approximately 56 units of the affected products were sold at Audio Oasis, Stereo Passion and Excel Stereo.

The affected products were sold from January 2009 to December 2010.

These recalled audio products were manufactured in China. The manufacturer is Xindak Electronics Co., Ltd of Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
