Ambulance is a mode of transportation (Ground, Air or Water craft) for the injured or sick. If you have been in a car accident with an injury then it is likely you were transported in an ambulance to the hospital. This sudden and immediate medical need is covered under the Accident Benefit portion of your policy. If you receive an invoice from the ambulance company be sure to give it to to the insurance company.

If you require ambulance services then it is likely that your group plan will respond. The group plan, if available, usually pays first. The insurance company pays what is denied by the group plan or if there is not a group plan available.

It is important to review the limits when choosing a group plan. Talk to your agent or broker.
