All Risk

All Risk refers to property-type claims. This would include your home, equipment on a business policy or the types of claims that will respond on a specific portion of one of those policies.

An All Risk policy is a name given to one which covers against the loss caused by all perils except for those that are specifically listed as excluded in the wordings of the policy. There is always some exclusions or limitations in insurance.

A named perils policy will only cover the specific perils that are listed in the policy. Even with an All Risk policy certain hazards will not be covered. Some of these would include such things as terrorism or damage from a radioactive cloud.

You should understand the type of coverage your policy has - ask your agent or broker for specifics.
