Agency Fee

Agency fee is an amount that is charged by the agency which has to be declared to the customer.

This is like a service charge but is not charged for the financing of a policy. It can be like a commission for providing a policy. It can be a special charge applied to a higher-risk policy. The important issue is that it must be declared to the client so that client understands that this is over and above the insurance company premium.

Ask your agent or broker if you feel you have been charged for an agency fee that has not been declared.
